My human is so frustrated with the debt collection agency who keeps calling daily.  She has told them repeatedly that there is no job, there is no money, there is no way to pay and to cease calling.  They don’t understand and she just got off the phone with another one.  This causes her blood pressure to rise and makes her so angry and frustrated that they won’t stop and don’t understand her situation.

    There’s a fine line between “collection” and “harassment” ……Maybe you can get some free legal advice from the legal aid society in your area? So sorry this is happening to you – my Mom has been down that road many years ago and it’s upsetting!

    Weez sowry yous goin’ fwu this. Mommy’s been there afur too after hers accident and hers kuldn’t work. Fur what it’s worff, there’s no debtor’s purrison in da USA so there’s nuffin’ they can weally do to you ‘cept hawwass you and of course weport you to da cwedit waters so yous cwedit be bad. And of course ifin it’s a caw or house, they can and will wepossess. Just don’t answer da fone. At lleast then yous mommys blood purressure will be okay. And whatevew yous do, DON’T get into one of those consolidation twaps. They awe not there to actually help you. And pendin’ on da type of debt you might can get it waived. Legal advice might help, just weally don’t consolidate. Ifin yous mommy needs to talk, she can email ow mommy. We don’t hav no money, but we can lissen and purray.

    Sorry I am so late to comment on your difficulty but we had the sads. Dad was in a huge financial problem many years ago and the law was, he found out very late in the issue, that if you told them to “Please do not call any more on this issue” the had to stop. Then if they called again he would ask for who they were and tell them they had been notified and he was reporting them for harassment. That worked. Again this was a long time ago but maybe check and see.
