Nearly July

Well here it is, the last week of June.  July is coming and that means humans will be shooting off noisy fireworks.  I hate loud noises and they scare me.  I go hide under the bed until the noises stop.

On a health note, my human has arthritis in her neck.  It is particularly bad at C-5 and C-6.  So she has to take meds and put heat on her neck a couple of times a day.

Take care of yourselves and your humans during the summer when it is hot and humid.  Drink plenty of water and try to stay cool.

CSU Final Exam

Today the Cat Scouts who are enrolled in Cat Scout University (CSU) started their final exam.  25 questions.  You need a C or above to pass.  I got an 88 which is a B so I passed.  Not sure which ones I got wrong but will let you all know when I know.  I guess I was the first one done.

Dad’s Day

Next Sunday is Father’s Day.  For those of you who still have fathers it is a nice way to say Thanks to your dad for all he has done.  For my human it is the reminder that her father is no longer alive.  He died June 19th, 1991 from colon cancer.

Each year as this day approaches she gets a little melancholy.  She tries to remember all the good times and not remember the sadness and missing his presence.

Bison and Mystery Trip

My human took pictures of two more bison today and she went on a mystery trip to Fair Oaks Farms.  The real mystery and surprise was who was met at lunch.  Everyone was surprised and glad to see this couple.

June thoughts

First day of the month of June here in Indiana.  It has felt like summer for a couple of weeks now as temperatures have been above 85 degrees daily.  We even have scattered storms because of the temperature and humidity.

Luckily, I am an indoor kitty and can stay in the nice air-conditioned apartment.  My human takes really good care of me.  I hope your humans do too.

In Cat Scouts University, today is the last day of classes and we will be having a picnic next week and final exams the following week.  Gulp.  I hate tests of any kind.

Stay out of the heat and drink plenty of water.  Hugs and purrs, Ali
