It’s Fall?

Here we are in the last week of September and it’s 90 degrees here.  That is not fall weather.  According to the local weather fall temps may actually arrive later this week.  I sure hope so.  It’s been so hot and humid that the human has lots more aches and pains due to the heat, humidity and her physical work demands.

Any ideas to help lower back pain?  Please let us know, hugs and purrs, Ali

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

My human received notices today that because of her part-time job she now is no longer qualifed to receive food stamps or health coverage through HIP.  She is crying and trembling and doesn’t know what to do.

Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have destroyed much of Houston and the entire state of Florida.  Last night there was a telethon on tv asking for donations to help.  This morning watching the news the people in Florida may not have power until the 22nd of this month.  The Naples area was one of the hardest hit.  This is where my human’s father used to live and work until his death in 1991.

Let us hope that hurricane Jose doesn’t hit the US at all.

Hugs and prayers, Ali

Frustrating day

Today was really frustrating for the human.  Her postage machine decided to act up while she was running mail.  It was down for about a hour and then it needed more stuff done.  By the time it was up and running she made a couple of boo boos because she was trying to get caught up.  She owned up to them right away.  Luckily she still has a job.  She is never wearing the stressed out cat t-shirt again.  It is going in the trash.

Thank you all for potp and kind thoughts.

Hugs and purrs, Ali

Rough Week

My human has had a rough week.  With all her medication changes happening she is making mistakes at her work and almost got fired yesterday.  She is having major anxiety and fear issues.  The anti-depressant she was taking made her extremely dizzy and caused her to have a nightmare.  She hasn’t had a nightmare in 15 years so that was disturbing to her.  She talked to her counselor and they are looking for a different way to treat her anxiety.

Now hurricane Irma is going to hit Florida.  To all my furriends in that area, stay safe.

Hugs and purrayers, Ali

September Musings

Well, here it is the first of September and I haven’t written anything for a couple of weeks.  Thanks to my human’s new part-time job we didn’t have to move or become homeless.  She has been stressed out about this and her blood pressure is high and her depression hit with a vengence.

Prayers for all those affected by Hurricane Harvey.  I have been watching the reports about this and am struck by the awesome forces of nature.  Seeing the people help each other, no matter of race, wealth or gender.  People helping animals get to safety and hopefully reunite with their humans.

Hugs and purrs, Alicat
