My human received notices today that because of her part-time job she now is no longer qualifed to receive food stamps or health coverage through HIP. She is crying and trembling and doesn’t know what to do.

Take a deep breathe and relax. Can you make ends meet on your income? If not, contact the agency…HIP and ask if there is any additional help you can apply to? Be pro-active and make a list of what you spend and on what each month. Be prepared, Let us know how things are progressing. Main thing RELAX….you will be ok.

Agree with Jean – time to sit down and do some figuring out on paper then contact the agency with the FACTS. Surely there’s some additional help for you!

The human called HIP to find out how they came up with their amounts. Of course, they don’t use the current month, they use the previous month when she worked 6 days a week almost the entire month. She will be getting money back, not much, but some. She also asked for more hours at work explaining the situation and will be working 1-5 on Mondays and 8-5 Tuesdays through Fridays.
