June Musings

Well, it’s June.  It’s really hot here.  It makes me really sleepy and I shed a lot.  I do mean a lot.  I continue to wake mommy up every morning around 5:30 a.m.

On Monday, my human tried to get blood drawn for her labs to see her doctor.  I say tried because even though she was stuck twice no blood came out.  So the human had to cancel her appointment with her doctor and will be going on Saturday for try number 2 on blood work.

Today will be a really long boring day at work for the human, 8 hours of building books.  That is putting books into plastic envelopes.  It’s no fun and it’s really boring.  At least it will earn her some money.

On the upside, I am a member of the Cat Scout Search and Rescue Team.  Not bad for a 17 year old cat.

Hugs and purrs, Ali

Hi Ali! I saw you in your uniform for the Search and Rescue Team at Scouts. We’re a GOOD team aren’t we! As for your human’s work, as you say, it’s boring but brings in the grocery money! Hopefully she will have better luck getting her bloodwork done….my Mom has often felt like a human pincushion too.

    Hugs, Teddy

Good job being on the Search & Rescue Team, Ali !
Sometimes I have trouble with blood draws too – tell your Mom to be sure to drink plenty of water. Even if it’s supposed to be a fasting blood test, the nurses and my doctor always remind me it’s ok to drink water . Purrs/

Mom would be horrified if no blood came out during a blood test so it’s best that it happened to your mom. She seems cool and able to handle the situation.

I’m not on the Search and Rescue team yet Ali. You’re past my street my friend.
