Saturday Night Thoughts

It’s the last week of July and surprisingly it’s cool.  The human typist turned the a/c off for awhile and will open the window to let cool air in.

Tomorrow her church is having a block party to get to know the people who live nearby and for them to get to know us.  There will be giant jenga, food trucks, games, outdoor worship and did I mention the food?  The human will be helping register volunteers.

Monday she will be going grocery shopping and doing the laundry.  Neither one is fun when you ride the bus and live on the 3rd floor in an apartment complex.

The human got her hair cut and colored a cute red violet as an early birthday present to herself.  She doesn’t really celebrate with a party,  she has to work on her birthday so it’s going to be simple.

July Musings

Well it’s the 4th of July and people will be shooting off fireworks.  I want to tell everyone that fireworks are dangerous.  Small children and small animals are scared of the big booms.  Every year for about 2 weeks the idiots the next street over shoot them off every single night starting around 9:00 p.m. to around 11:00 p.m..  They annoy my human because they scare me, interfere with the tv satellite signal and her sleep.

The oppressive heat here has just drained my human of her energy.  At her work place there is no a/c and all the fans were moved to another room so she can’t cool down at all.  All of this coupled with the arthritis in her neck and the lack of sleep due to fireworks has made her very grumpy and she acts out with utter frustration.

At least her supervisor at work gave her some cool water and did get a fan for her to help cool down and gave her something else to do and it helped a bunch.

Take care and be safe from the fireworks.

Hugs and purrs, Ali
