Almost April

Well here we are in the last few days of March.  Social distancing and Covid-19 are the major topics of conversation.  Even church is held online and it all feels so strange to me.

Here’s hoping that April will bring an end to the crisis and we start to return to something close to normal.  When my human does go out it’s for work and to get groceries.  She feels alone and lonely even with the tv on and me purring.

Holy Week starts next Sunday with Palm Sunday and ends with Easter Sunday.  I’m hoping everyone will come out of this pandemic a little wiser and treat each other better.

Update for my home town

Well the governor of Indiana has issued a stay at home order which takes effect at 11:59 p.m. tonight.  My huMom is considered an essential worker so she will still be working.  As long as she can ride public transportation to work and grocery store we will be fine.

There are 3 cases of Covid-19 in my county and no deaths and a total of 259 in my state so far.  So many people are out of work and hurting financially.  My heart goes out to all affected.

Bunty’s thoughts

I earned my first merit badge on the new Cat Scout site.  I even earned karma points.  My huMom is proud of me.  Up until the new site I was earning points and badges alongside angel Ali.  I passed the quiz on Toads & Frogs, if I had been a little faster I could have won a prize.

Last night when my huMom was taking a shower I was really interested in checking out the shower/tub.  I almost got in.  My huMom took a couple of photos but they didn’t turn out very well because I kept moving and not looking at the camera.  She will post pics of me pretty soon.

Over it (coronavirus)

My human and I are so over this whole corona virus panic, fear, social distancing, etc.

The whole city is pretty much closed down and pretty soon the public transportation will be too and even my human’s work.  All this is stressing her out with keeping me in food, getting her taxes done and having enough money to pay bills.

If she has to self-quarantine for a week or two she will go stir crazy not being able to go anywhere.  One can only watch just so much tv and movies, listen to music, read books, cross-stitch, play on the computer.

She is hoping it won’t come to that.

It’s all about common sense and so many people don’t have any.

Winter Just Won’t Quit

As the title of this blog says, winter just won’t quit here in Lafayette, IN.  It’s been snowing off and on all day today.  When my human ran a couple of errands this morning while riding public transportation the snow was really coming down.  Big flakes, some even in clumps.  She took some pictures.  Then later it turned to rain,, even that stopped and now it’s snowing again.

I have been a bit naughty today.  While mommy was showering I was unrolling the toilet paper roll.  I’m so quiet she didn’t know until she got out of the shower.  Then I jumped up on my cat tree and it fell over.  I was not hurt, I did scare myself a little, but now I’m calm and ready for a nap.

Mommy said the store was sold out of toilet paper and ramen noodles.  A lot of frozen breakfast food was out.  Luckily for her, everything she had a coupon for was still there.  People were buying so many items she had help using the u-scan.  A big shout out to Christal (the employee who helped her with checking out).

Since live church is cancelled tomorrow, there will be a video presentation of worship that hopefully she can watch on her computer.  She also plans on doing her laundry tomorrow.

Bye Bye Bye Corona

It’s official, everyone has gone crazy with panic around here.  School cancellations, church activities cancelled, stores selling out of toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc.

We kitties are immune so we are fine.  We can help distract our humans with cute tricks, cuddles, and purrs.  My human is fine, so far her work is not cancelling anything.  She is planning on returning a book to the library and doing some grocery shopping and then doing her laundry.

She thinks that people are over-reacting to the whole situation.  It will blow over soon and the media is blowing it all out of proportion.

March Musings

Well it’s the 10th of March and the weather here changes daily.  We might have snow again this weekend after a few days of warmth and sunshine.

The weather is really playing havoc with my human’s sinuses.  Also, her work is very tiring.  When she gets home she takes a shower, eats dinner, feeds me and only then can she relax.

I have healed up nicely from my surgery.  The stitches have dissolved and my fur is starting to grow back.  When my human has time she will post more pics of me.

The Cat Scout Site is still a work in progress but is much better now that scouts are finding it.  Please contact Denmaster and she will help you.  It’s starting to feel more like home.

That’s it for now, Hugs and Purrs, Bunty

New Cat Scout Site

Cat Scouts are migrating to a new site.  So if you are a scout please try to get in touch with Denmaster so you can login.  It’s only a few of us now but it’s starting to feel like “home”.

Pics of me

Here is another pic of me, Bunty.  This is for my computer technology badge in Cat Scouts.  We are currently unable to post pics in the Cat Scout site so posting here.
