Memorial Day Musings

Wishing one and all a safe Memorial Day. Mostly people consider this a long weekend to get together with family and friends and eat and drink a lot and party, it’s really about remembering those who died in service to our country.

Not just those who served in the armed forces, first responders are also on the front lines and deserve being honored also.

Mommy and I are relaxing before another work week begins for her, so stay safe

Hugs and purrs, Bunty

RIP Mr. Denmaster

The husband of the Cat Scouts beloved Denmaster passed away and all the scouts are teary eyed.

Quick Update

My humom had her 2nd covid shot. Her arm got sore and a little cold but warmed up quickly. Her sinuses have been driving her crazy. She had been taking a generic form of Benadryl so it made her extremely sleepy.

There is a new bus service out to her place of work. It’s better than taking the cab. My humom is still getting used to it as it’s only been a week since it started.

As for me, I’m doing quite well.

I’m a cute little nursemaid

The last two days my human had a really bad sinus headache and she took medicine which made her sleep a lot. I stayed nearby and purred by her head or cuddled down by her feet to keep her warm.

She said I was the best little nursemaid kitty ever.

I got extra treats and cuddles for being extra cute and adorable.

New Bedding

Mommy went to the store to get new sheets, pillowcases and pillows. The sheets are super soft and I helped mommy put them on the bed. It’s been cool, cloudy and rainy here lately.

In a couple of weeks mommy will have her 2nd covid shot and hopefully restrictions will be lifted soon. She hates to wear the mask outside.

I am enjoying napping on the blankets on the bed.

Sad to see another Cat Scout cross the rainbow bridge. Scout Charles is now an Angel Scout. We will celebrate him tomorrow.

Quick Update

Mommy had her shot and her blood pressure and pulse plummeted. An ambulance was called and she was taken to the emergency room. All she really needed was some water and a little food. It was quite the exciting day for her.

Yesterday at church she was complimented on her singing voice. Since she hadn’t done any real singing for about a year she was grateful to hear that she hasn’t lost anything.

I am being extra good at waking mommy up in the morning. I wait until she starts to move a little and then I get close to her face and purr and then tap her face lightly with my paw. My whiskers tickle her face.

I love, love, love to play laser chase. I am happy and healthy and know that I am loved.

Happy Easter

Wishing one and all a very Happy Easter. I am hosting Easter Fun at Tabby Cat Club.

Mommy is getting her first covid shot today and is singing in church tomorrow.

Holy Week

Tomorrow starts Holy Week. My human is now singing as part of a worship team. She sings tomorrow and Easter. Because of covid there were no in person services last year and she felt lost. Now she is starting to feel more like herself again.

She is having her 1st shot next Saturday and hopes for no bad reactions.

Next week at TCC I am hosting an Easter fun time. Come as you are, in costume, bring baskets, eggs, etc and let’s celebrate the holiday like the darling cats we are.

Mommy’s Rant Day

This is Bunty’s HuMom. I am going to have a rant day. I am sick and tired of people getting on public transportation without their face mask on. There is a sign that says facemask required and people still don’t do it. Then there are people who don’t obey the sign that says stay behind the line. My human does follow the rules and it really annoys her.

At work, one of her co-workers called her a bully. Mom is not a bully, if anything, she is the one getting bullied. When she runs the strapper, she sometimes straps the hand of the person helping. It is by accident, it is not done on purpose or to be mean. She tries to do the job the way she was taught and tries to get helpers to do the same.

She is also tired of breathing in cigarette smoke and vape clouds when waiting for the bus and the cab. It’s one of the reasons why her health isn’t so good. Sorry about the rant, Hugs and purrs, Bunty and mom
